Description

The listing, $238 per yard! LARGE SCRAP! "Mirande" Fabric - Hand-stamped in Italy! has ended.

THIS IS A PIECE - NOT YARDAGE! READ DIMENSIONS BEFORE BIDDING! I WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS OR MAKE REFUNDS BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T READ THE DESCRIPTION. Now, on to the niceties!

Note: This fabric is not silk. It's a heavy fabric with a nap like soft fur. If your are thinking velvet, it may be, but it's the most fabulous velvet I've ever touched.

OMG, the beautiful things we find at garage sales! My sister (definitely not crafty) brought over a huge load of fabric scraps from a lady who made purses and pillows, but was moving in with her daughter and couldn't sew anymore. This particular piece was "signed" so I looked it up and discovered one yard of this fabric is almost a house note for me!

Think of what you could make to decorate your home with a truly luxury piece - or what you could charge for your crafts or bags made with this fabric! I love to "play" with my sewing machine and I like to "play" at crafting, but I don't have the skillz this fabric deserves. Someone else can bear that responsibility! I'd just like to dive into that rich, deep color.

THIS PIECE IS NARROW, AT 13 INCHES, BUT VERY LONG AT 93 INCHES! Measurement does NOT include the signed selvage edge, so you can use the whole 13 inches.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU ASK. I don't want to have to keep your credits just because you don't know the rules.

NOTE TO BIDDERS: If I have not posted a GIN, I will accept offers via messaging. Listia fees for GIN are outrageous and the MINIMUM ALLOWED GIN is 2000 credits per Listia.

WATCHERS: This auction may end abruptly due to GIN offer if a bid is not placed. ONCE BIDDING BEGINS, GIN IS NOT AVAILABLE.

*** I WILL NOT SHIP TO A "MESSAGED" ADDRESS. Click that little button that says "Ship it to me!" and I will have your Listia VERIFIED address. Sorry I have to be so literal, but better we understand each other and everybody's happy.
All Listia rules and time schedules, blah blah apply. Happy bidding and Good Luck!

It's heavy, has a "nap" that feels like soft fur, but is much more luxurious feeling than any velvet I've held. If I had a bedspread made of this fabric, I'd sleep on top of the bed.

I agree that it is beautiful and it looks like it could be silk, doesn't it? That should be printed along the selvage. But my question from sewers and crafters, what can be done with width of only 13 inches? Maybe a clutch, maybe children's clothing. What else? Looking for creative ideas here....

It's not silk. It has a "nap" like soft fur, but feels better than any velvet I've ever felt. Clutches, change purses, lamp shades, fascinators or hair pieces, pillows, the list is endless. The fabric is heavy.

When I say the fabric is "heavy" I mean heavier than cotton or silk, but not thick as upholstery fabric either.

Thank you so much! So many people wondering what to do with it because of it's width, but I say for fabric of this quality, I'd find something to do with it!

one lady asked what's some ideas that this could be used for -- with that length ( 93" ) could be edging on skirt, quilt block fabric, a mini album cover, ruffles added in places, fabric flowers, headbands, scarves, dollhouse furniture coverings, just a couple ideas

FnW....I still can't get over the leopard and India floral design, but it IS very pretty. You might have enough for two window valences and a pillow or two if you mix it with other fabric. I'd love to see what the original project was that this was "scrap". LOL

This size and length would be enough to make a corset. (Use other fabrics for lining obviously) I love lux fabrics. I don't think I could get over the leopard print though. XD

I wish I could see what ultimately becomes of it. I had to get it out of the house quick before I used it for something stupid, like lining a retro trunk case or decoupaging in on a table lol!
