It is formed by mud rich with quartz that oozed and dripped into pockets of gas formed by molten lava. The heat from the exposure turns the mud solid almost instantly. Biggs-formation picture jasper from the vicinity of Biggs, Oregon is one the most beautiful picture jaspers, and also one of the most expensive.

This beautiful pendant's apx. measurements are 31mm in length {including bail} and 16mm at it's widest point.
