Description

The listing, 1969 Topps baseball card lot w/ high numbers has ended.

Here's a lot of eight (8) vintage 1969 Topps baseball cards (NOT reprints). Please note this is a lower-grade condition lot, with all cards having creases and/or other issues. But then again, these cards are 44 years old. Neat bit of history, but if you're picky about condition, this is not the auction for you.

Also note that most of these are high numbers from the 6th and 7th Series, which are generally more scarce than the rest of the set.

RON HUNT (2B, Giants) was runner-up to Pete Rose for 1963 NL Rookie of the Year and went on be an All-Star twice. This is the final card of the set, #664.

HARRY WALKER (MGR, Astros) won the NL batting crown in 1947 beating out the likes of Stan Musial and Ralph Kiner, and was on 2 champion Cardinals teams of the '40s before later going into managing. #633

DAVE MARSHALL (OF, Giants) made the 1968 Topps All-Star Rookie Team-- this is his rookie card and features a nice big rookie trophy on it-- later spending time with the Mets and Padres. #464

MIKE HERSHBERGER (OF, A's) was known for his great arm and led the AL in outfield assists in both 1965 and 1967. #655

EDDIE WATT (P, Orioles) was on a couple World Series winning Orioles teams ('66 and '70) with a nice career ERA of 2.91. #652

CHUCK HINTON (IF-OF, Indians) was an All-Star in 1964 with the Senators, and finished 2nd in stolen bases twice behind Luis Aparicio. #644

MIKE McCORMICK (P, Giants) won the Cy Young Award in '67 beating out Jim Bunning and Fergie Jenkins. Led the NL in ERA in 1960. #517

CHICO RUIZ (IF, Reds) played for 8 years and was the only player to pinch hit for both Pete Rose and Johnny Bench. #469
