Hey now! No I didn't, Mickey was here a week or two ago... where'd they play in Berzerkeley? I used to live there and had a store on Telegraph Ave until the 1991 Firestorm almost killed me and took everything I owned... now I live in 'Berkeley North' (Kesey country)! (~):-}

I remember the 1991 firestorm---I was in Marin that day and saw the smoke over the Bay (from the Marin side) then I went back to Berzerkely aand drove up to Claremont street and watched the homes burning---it was horrible---my boss was panicked because she thought the business was going to burn too---on College Ave. next to the Bart station---my friend Ed (sells rare books!) lost his house (but as a renter) and lost all his rare books---awful!

I remember the Ashcan...lol... I was a street vendor for a couple years, and my store was Wizard of Odd (the purple one next to Fred's Market)... I WISH I lived in Marin, I hung out there enough anyhow... do you go to Phil & Bobby's clubs? I really miss Mt Tam.... I knew that bookstore too... were you at the barricade below the Claremont Hotel? That's where we watched from after escaping the fire... I still have a bad case of PTSD from that...
