The listing, FIRST EDITION!!!! STEPHEN KING BOOK - NEW - ALL DARK. NO STARS has ended.

FIRST EDITION! New book, never read. Hard cover. Published in November 2010.
Purchased December 2010. (I still have the invoice!)
Never opened before today. List Price was $27.99.
About Stephen King, the NYTimes writes: "...a writer who takes such unabashed joy in the act of storytelling is a rarity. This naked pleasure is King’s secret ingredient: it makes his work — good or bad — weirdly irresistible, even addictive. And it disarms criticism, as boyish enthusiasm often does."
Parial ReviewThe Washington Post, in its review of the book, called Full Dark, No Stars a "satisfyingly bleak" and "a disturbing, fascinating book."
Amazon placed the book at #25 out of 100 in its "Best Books of 2010" list."
From Wikipedia "Full Dark, No Stars, published in November 2010, is a collection of four novellas by the author Stephen King, all dealing with the theme of retribution.[1][2] One of the novellas, 1922, is set in Hemingford Home, Nebraska: home of Mother Abagail from King's epic novel The Stand (1978), the town adult Ben Hanscom moves to in It (1986), as well as the setting of the short story "The Last Rung on the Ladder" (1978). The collection won the 2010 Bram Stoker Award for Best Collection, and 1922 was nominated for the 2011 British Fantasy Award for Best Novella"

The $11.50 is the USPS Priority Mail rate. Since this is a first edition, I believe this is considered a collector item, and certainly a gift item.
However, as you point out, it is still a book. If a person doesn't care about preserving its pristine condition, I could ship it USPS Media Mail. I have a dilhemma here, because first editions are hard to come by. Is it considered an ordinary book? or a collector item? I could use some serious advise about this.

If the person who buys this prefers it to ship Media, then so be it. It will be the option of the buyer. I am resetting the shipping to media mail rate and let the buy decide if they want it sent priority mail instead.

NOTE to collectors: The wispy swirl shown on the cover (below the K) is just a part of the light reflection. It is not part of the cover art. The cover art has no swirly wisps.

If You want can't You just wrap it really good with tissue paper or even a couple layers of any wrapping paper put it in an old gift bag, we all have them hanging around somewhere, and then put it in a box to ship media mail. You can even pay $1 extra to get a tracking# so the price could be $6.00 to cover extra wrapping & the tracking cost? Now I am just sayin' this straight out My a.. so so please You in NO way need to take My mere suggestion. Trying to find middle ground here for You =) I am Bidding for this Super dee Duper Fantastic Book because I really want the book as I do in all Auctions I bid on I bid for the item & the shipping cost is inconsequential. + having a Very Trustworthy Seller as we definitely have here helps& that's more than enough for Me!!! =)
Blessed Be, Angel L aka Lori =) (ok yes i am long winded, lol)

Angel, yes, that is what I will do if that is what you want. It would 'kill' me to let a first edition book get destroyed, so I would definitely still wrap it. Media mail can take a 4 to 6 weeks (though usually only 2 wks) for delivery. But that is all an option for the buyer. . I hope you win because you seem like the kind of person that will appreciate this special book.

I always use tracking on media mail because it usually takes a full 7 days. I mail books all the time.
