Greetings, today for your viewing pleasure is this beautiful 23mm x 15mm turquoise cabochon. I have collected turquoise for years and have decided to share some with you. Turquoise comes in many colors with blue being the most sought after. In the u.s. there 4 colors found. the pieces I will be putting up all come from copper mines in India. This is the third of 5 stones I will be offering and the only orange one.The orange ones are great because they look like they are on fire. THE STONE YOU SEE IS THE STONE YOU GET. GOOD LUCK.

I've been waiting for the person to show up with claims of this cannot be real. it is real they are sold on ebay all the time. in this country turquoise comes in blue, green, brown, and white. turquoise gets its color from the minerals that are around it and is most commonly found in and around copper mines. the pieces i have listed all have metal veins running through them. from the mines that they came from. for many years turquoise was a by product from copper mines. in most countries turquoise is wore because it is believed to have healing abilities. there are beads and stones sold that are howlite dyed different colors that are sold as cheap forms of turquoise but they are listed as dyed howlite. this concludes my turquoise lesson and hopefully opens your eyes to the world around you.

Turquoise can be found in many colors, including deep blue, light blue, greenish-blue shades, green, and even yellow. What accounts for this variation?

Blue Shades. The presence of copper in the rock where turquoise forms will result in blue shades. This is the shade of blue that is most prized and that is denoted when "turquoise" is used as a color.

Green Shades. If a high concentration of iron is present, then the turquoise will take on a green shade. This is due to some iron replacing aluminium in the mineral.

Yellow-Green Shades. When zinc is present, the turquoise will take on a yellow-green shade. This is a rare color, found only in a few mines.

Yellow "Turquoise." Yellow "turquoise" is usually a mixture of quartz and jasper. Yellow serpentine is also sold as turquoise in the marketplace. It is often confused as turquoise because it can be found in the same mines from which turquoise is taken.

My rule on listia is a simple. you can say what you please i won't hide it. that said i also won't play the childish game of finding something to support my point of view because it never ends as each side just continues to find supporting arguments. i sell on this site for fun as i'm self employed and currently make a living on 3 other sites. now if you want to continue this game of yours feel free, but keep in mind i just viewed what you sell which looks very much like what china sells on ebay. and it sells very cheaply.
