yes i would say it does. I can't tell you exact temperature but its pretty hot. For the picture I layed down a few kleenexes under the item for fear it would melt my pillow underneath. I have had it around for a long time now because its a neat litlle item but I still dont use it so its time to pass it on. =) Hope this helps you some ?!?
