The listing, First Day Cover Airport Dedication Danville PA 1938 National Airmail Week has ended.
Up for bid is a First Day Cover commemorating the Dedication of the Airport at Danville, Penna., May 15-21, 1938.
Looks like the cover was postmarked at Danville on May 19, flew to and was postmarked at Williamsport, PA, that same day, and received back in Danville on the 20th. This was all done during National Airmail week.
It also mentions that the first T-Rail in the world was rolled at Danville in 1845! This cover was in my father's postcard collection, and I have enjoyed it, but time for it to go to someone else to enjoy!
Cover is in good shape with normal aging. Please view scans for condition.
