This is a list of the minimum food storage amounts needed for a family of 4 (over the age of 7). It contains the basics, not extras.

This will be a guide for you, but can be adjusted as you see fit for you own family. There is no need to store food items that your family will not eat, thus, you would store more of another food item in that category to make up for it.

There is no time like right now to start and be ready for whatever comes your way.

If you lose your job, the economy keeps going downhill, a natural disaster, or any other major life event can put you very vulnerable, but having basic food on hand for a year can help.

When disaster strikes, be prepared!
