2 questions. First how well do the controllers work, are they RF like a tv remote? And second can it also play the regular genesis cartridges?

I thought controllers worked fine. it has 2 slots to plug in 2 wired controllers also. yes it plays any regular cartridges for Sega Genesis.

Note to anyone interested: (This is not a stab at the seller, but to increase awareness) the wireless controllers are unreliable if you aren't in front of the console. I know this because I got this release when I came out, and from what I've read everyone who has this also has the issue with the controllers. It would be wise to get wired controllers if you wanna play with friends. If you are by yourself you should be okay though since you don't have to worry about player 2 having connection problems.

I played one of these last week. I had to press the buttons kinda hard. Wired controllers would probably be best. It has a few Sonic games. :)

the only thing I noticed with the controllers is the distance . Had some trouble after about 10-12 feet away.
