The listing, wool sock yarn - 3 skeins! 693 yards of knitpicks stroll fingering in firecracker heather has ended.
75% superwash merino wool and 25% nylon. I am a yarn snob and I generally avoid both superwash and man made materials, but for socks the nylon and machine washable features are a must!
this listing is for 3 beautiful skeins of knitpicks 'stroll' sock yarn, the color is firecracker heather and they are all from dye lot #16182.
all of this yarn has been safety stored in a ziploc in my smoke free home, and tucked away in a drawer away from my feline companions.
one of the 3 skeins was previously knitted into a sock, but the sock has never been worn - see the last two photos for the sock as well as how this yarn looks knitted up with size 2 needles =) the other two skeins were handled only to wind them into balls.
these skeins are 100% complete! each one is 231 yards for a total yardage of 693 in 150g. the yarn is machine washable, and my experience with other socks I have made using this brand of yarn is that it holds up in color, stitch definition, and size/shape quite well, even after a year's worth of wearing and washing!
the 'recycled' skein does have one defect, the yarn is tied in a knot most of the way down where I started unwinding the sock - see last photo for reference as to where on the ball that knot is. when you knit with it you will need to cut the knot out and do a proper join when you get to it, just like any commercial yarn that is knotted when you get it.
the third photo is the most true to color - I thought it would be all red when I bought it, but there are delightful specks of purple sprinkled in!
