is this 2.5", and is it an ide, I think ide and pata are the same, just wondering because i have an old laptop that needs a larger drive, just as long as its not a sata because i know it doesnt' take that. And is the hard drive wiped clean, does it have any errors or viruses etc...? is is formatted? sorry for all the questions... :)

its a PATA not SATA an yes its completely clean never been hooked up to anything! its brand new! i got it awhile ago for my ps3 but sold my ps3
