I bought the plants one year and every year after I took the seeds from those plants and dried them and stored them away for use the next year. Every year the plants changed more and more. I believe this is due to growing so many different types all together.

The plants I bought at the store got large, but the ones I planted from last years seeds became ginormous. Mostly tall but with lots a branches with more Marigolds on each branch. It seems you get hardier, larger plants when you use the seeds from previous blossoms.

You will be getting tons (a whole fist full) of seeds from last year that were from the year before and so on for the last 5-6 yrs.

All you have to do is hand sprinkle the seeds in no special form. Rake them in slightly and water gently so as not to disturb the soil or wash the seeds away.

This packet has enough to grow a nice marigold garden. Much more than what you get in those store bought Marigold seed packets.
