Description
The listing, 1909s (vdb) Lincoln wheat penny has ended.
These pictures are way blurry if you want some clear ones where you can make out the s and the vdb shoot me your email. This was given to me by a late relative and I'm told its extremely valuable but that it will take forever to find some one willing to buy it for what it's worth, and I need cash so lets kick it off at $1,000.00 don't know how many creds that is and see what happens
Questions & Comments
I'm really confused by your description. Are you going to be requesting $1000 cash along with credits?
Ya I'd be pretty sure it was a con too, no one this day and age sticks to there word or shows any integrity or character so I don't blame you for your skepticism. Maybe you should keep in contact with the winner I heard putting your foot in your mouth feels ten times better than an ***** then it won't matter that your gonna die a virgin.
HEY ender0555 !!! can you see by now there are some asses on here ?? there is a block button if ya get fed up with someone then click on their name and on their page on upper right hand corner in little letters it will say block this person and presto my friend they are gone never to see or read any of your posts again, I must have 20 blocked myself !!! like every where else there are some cools and then there are some fools !!! later man !!!
I do see the potential for a lot of ***** talking on this website, I find that getting under their skin with knowledge is the best way to shine them on. Be polite, curious and respectful and at the same time shut them up with your knowledge. Anyways my friend it's almost over......
you can remove your $1,000 coin and not get into trouble I believe its a rule here as long as both agree! I have been a coin dealer for several decades and I believe the coin to be Very Fine condition and is worth between $800-$1000 I only have 6000 credits or I would bid I suggest you withdraw it!!
I appriciate your concern honestly I do. however if I remove I lose any credibility on future listing no one will take me serious. Plus when I get the feedback hopefully the next rare coin I post will go through the roof within the first day, Iv had some time to think on this and while I'm loathe to part with it, I honestly feel it will be good for my soul, someone else will get to enjoy this treasure, maybe my first fan will finally be able to get his teeth fixed and because of that his self esteem goes through the roof and I make the rest of his life more enjoyable or something equally as cheesy.
Your incorrect you obviously have the Internet google it, my father just sold his for $2,200. If you can buy a roll of them off eBay for $20 ( which I just did a thorough search and found nothing) ill buy it off of you for $3,000 on my word, plus if you email me ANY official listing offering a 1909-"S" VDB Lincoln wheat penny graded MS-63 or above for less than $1,500 ill send you $500 that goes for anyone, I don't know if you misread the eBay listing or what but no one who knows anything about numismatics would sell one SVDB FOR $20 let alone a roll of them. Maybe you should research a few official coin sites and educate yourself at least a little bit before you start talking crap about something you have absolutely no clue about
And thank you biter, it's funny it seems most people on this site actually know a decent amount about coins that Davy guy is the first real dip$&!? I've come across so far. It's prob not his fault, his mom was prob too drunk most of the time to tell the difference between baby formula and paint thinner when he was a kid, and as a result prob developed a serious paint chip habit
Davy I'm really interested in this eBay listing your talking about and I'm guessing one can only view from your computer, cuz I've been searching since your post, I found One 1909vdb for $17 and I found a roll of wheat penning with a 1909 penny on the end for $19. So since you are the only one who can view it can you email it to me, I'd like to get you $3K in the mail before the mail goes at. Thanks.
1909 vdb is a totally different coin than the 1909-"S" VDB, google it, checkit out , the "S"int mark makes all the difference in the world I can't believe you don't know how to use google
Offer is still open Davy 3 grand if you can find a roll of 1909-s vdb's for 20 bucks. Screw that ill send you 3k if you can find 1 for 10 times 20 bucks that should be an easy 3 grand right ill even email you a pic of the cash
So I guess I can't update this late in the game there are three hours left does anybody have anything else they would like me to do, I'm about to email pics to the top 3 bidders any special poses you want me to do so u know I'm holding the coin or a strange object u want the penny photod with?
I'm serious tell me how to get u the pic you need, I'm for real, is this site really that full of flakes that even tho I'm verified no one believes me, everyone thinks I'm a con. Ask me questions test my knowledge I have self educated myself on numismatics I put the coin up and will send it, I guess all must prove themselves, I think maybe for s and g's ill post a gem once a week, maybe by like my 5th week people will stop thinking I'm a fake
Wish I had the credits to bid. This coin is sell way to cheap .sdh likes to put down other peoples coins. The fact is he sells cleaned coins. He block me just because I ask him if the coin was cleaned. He did not want anyone to know it.
Sure, this auction is getting a lot of attention, and I am tempted to bid just like everyone else. But, you know what they say, if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Besides, the condition of the reverse of the coin is much better than the condition of the obverse. How is that possible? And what I am seeing is not the "blur." You can look past the blur and see that the obverse looks F-VF and the reverse looks AU with full wheat. I'm just going to stand back and watch this one.
Even if the front does not grade as well as the back the coin is about a $800 coin. It is selling now for about $80. If I had the credits I would bid. You have nothing to lose,Listia will give your credits back if you do not get the coin you bid on.
Great Auction. Looks like it's going to be a good one for you my 141,850 bid lasted less than the blink of an eye. I lived in Northern Idaho for 6 years, wife and I plan to go back and retire in Coeur d'Alene or sandpoint. We still head up there at least once a year to ski Schweitzer.
I'm thinking they are two different coins altogether. The obverse is of a F-VF 1909-s penny and the reverse is of an AU 1909 VDB penny (so it would be easy to make out the VDB). I'm seeing two different coins here, I'm pretty sure of it. Add this to the whole "oh, it's my first time and I need to learn a lesson," BS and I think we have something pretty implausible going on. This guy can take down the coin and sell it at his local coin store for cash in an instant instead of doing this. Something is afoot.
i'm not on anyone's side. IMO the difference in the two sides of the coin is just a lighting effect. Way out of my range. Assuming the coin is legit, it's a steal. If it's not, Listia returns your creds. Win, win I'd say. what does it matter if someone gets several hundred thousand creds tied up for 10 days? Either way it works out. :)
It's beyond lighting. Look at the wear. You can even look past the blur on the obverse to see how worn the front is compared to the back. Caveat emptor.
