Does it charge when it's plugged in? It does plug into the wall, not just batteries, right?

yeah it's just batteries right now but a 6 volt adapter plugin is on it . Usually there is a 6v lying around here so I didn't get one ladytuck:-)

does it come with the 6v dc plug adapter? also, how is the volume on it, is it loud and the Bass is it Good? Also, it looks like any mp3 player can be plugged into it, with the little, is that a 3.5mm headphone jack, do you stick the headphone jack of the Mp3 player on there to make it work? Thank You. :)

No 6v adapter. Didn't use it and haven't had it long enough. Volumes ok . Mp3 plugs into the top (the little plug in is showing sticking up and lays flat when not using) and that's why I photoed the bottem seems to be another jack for mp3 longer cord...I ho0pe this answers your questions ladytuck:)
