The listing, FRENCH FIELD GLASSES has ended.

19th century french field glasses! with case these are very rare and old as the picture,s will show. any collector know,s it is better to leave something the way you fined it rather than try and restore! because restoration will decrease the value and take away the history behind what you have! these field glasses were never restored for that reason the two eye glass pieces are missing but just look and a true collector will understand! pictures will be posted this afternoon!

I have a 1904 Victorian Home & am new at the antique thing. As you see I have fanned you, with yourself knowing more about the timing of items around this time, would you please make me aware of it, if you don't mind? I'm just trying to add some antiques & don't really know what items for this era would be appropriate. Please don't go out of your way though!! Thank you & have a Blessed Day!

Yes mam i sure will if you want to do the decor in rustic early 20th century now is the time, to do it because antiques are at a all time low do not go get your antique,s from a dealer! reason being they jack up the price about 5 time,s what it is really worth. go to yard sales flea markets bargain deal with outside flea market,s more so than inside reason the one,s on the inside have money to rent a nice warm booth. where the outside people do not and are more app to get a better price and most of the time a better product! never pay the price they are asking no matter how bad you want it stand your ground! i,ll walk away over a penny let them know you are not budging! know what you want when you happen to go do a little research on the computer and you will do just fine! plus i wish we had talked a month ago because we just sold a whole ware house full of antique,s! if you could give some type of idea i still may have something you would be interested in we have been buying and selling. for many year,s now but with health issue,s we are getting out of the furniture side of it plus with shows like storage wars and american picker people think there antique,s are gold! there is a difference between antique and collectible! i,m fifty i,m a antique but i,m not a high dollar collector,s item! lol you should be able to decor your home in antique for less than you think! ? eg. i have no idea where you live just some where in the central time zone that goes from middle tn. to the western side of ks. cast iron frying pans what do they sell for one,s to hang on your kitchen wall! let me know!! thanks john!!

Gosh, you are very kind!! I thank you for all your information! I actually live in Edgefield, SC. Cast iron frying pans aren't really expensive at all. I think I just saw in Cracker Barrel the other week, one for more than $15.00, but of course it looked brand new & to use. Was seasoned & a larger size also.
When I read your statement about the warehouse full...my teeth about fell out!! Honestly, I really don't know what I want. Something I have wanted for sometime is a chaise lounge to put in the Foyer @ the front entrance & a vanity w/stool. I guess artwork, just trinkets to set around. I have a fireplace in every room except for the bathrooms, so stuff to sit on the mantels. I love lamps, old side tables, mirrors, chairs..really anything from that time period. I'm disabled & don't go too much & haven't started my quest for looking for antiques until since being on here. When I do start the yard sales & flea markets, your wonderful advice will definitely serve me well & I really appreciate that! In the mean time I'll Dona's you said &'get on the Internet. Yes i know it very well we live in reidsville just a little n/e of high point! we have lamps from that time period i,m pretty sure! an if you are going to use cast iron to decor the kitchen i have plenty of that if you not going to cook with it just spray paint it gloss black after sanding i,m looking at 7 frying pans an bean pot all ready primed just need the final coat put on them! if you are interested in them just let me know!
