The listing, Beautiful Vintage Genuine Native American Necklace has ended.

This is one of my favorite pieces from my "Gallup" collection, although the clasp is broken. It is silver with yellowed ivory looking pieces (maybe bone?) it has a butterfly pendent with pinkish stone wings (maybe abalone?) there are also pinkish carved birds, again (maybe abalone ?) the beads are silver and liquid silver. It has no marking anywhere that I can find. I bought this along with a bunch of other jewelry from a lady in Gallup, NM. 30 years ago. I wish I would have sat down with her and had her tell me about each piece, but unfortunately we were in a hurry, isn't that always the way it goes ? Anyway, thanks for looking !!!

Im Cherokee and take pride in my heritage. Any piece I can pick up and repair with love and respect from my people no matter the tribe, I take pride in. If I win I will repair it and hand it down to my daughter as my tribe would have.

Thank you so much for that, I have felt a little guilty getting rid of all of the jewelry that I got in Gallup. I bought it all from a very nice Navajo lady, who needed money at that time. When I list an auction of these piece I try and make sure that people know where these came from, good luck !!!

If I had more credits I would have taken all of them. They are all beautiful. I thought they were Navajo. Most of the tribes are anymore. Sad when cultures are lost.
