This is a collectible booklet of knitting patterns to make Afghans and is circa 1947 by The American Thread Company with a small sticker attached that reads the price of $1.00. It originally sold for TEN CENTS and is "STAR BOOK NO. 52--Afghans". Unfortunately, this booklet could use a little tape at it's spine but I know collectors frown on that so I have not added any and left it in its original condition.There are patterns for ""Fleur de Lis", "Victoriana Rose Wreath", "Sculptured Block (with or without fringe), "Puff Stitch", "Knitted Patio Stripe", "Knitted Cable Stitch", "Two-tone Slip-stitch", "Autumn Glow", "Modern Leaf", "Old Granny", "Woven Scotch Plaid", "Woven Afghan Alternate Color Scheme", and last but not least, "Vine and Trellis" Afghans.Altogether there are patterns for 12 Afghans in this booklet. I must add that this is the most fragile of my booklets posted here on listia, so please bear that in mind.
