Vintage Straight Razor by Ford & Medley Sheffield (marked on blade). Sheffield started business in 1892. This razor has a box and looks like the holder for the blade is celluloid.

It is in good condition, could be cleaned up, sharpened
and used. No breaks or cracks or chips. The blade measures 3"

Nice! I always wanted one of the old straight razor shaves...wonder if any barbers still do that? I sure as heck wouldn't try it myself LOL :)

actually there are those that collect these and get them all back in condition and useable. This one at least isn't chipped.

Amazing razor!! Great brand&the condition is incredible.I would like to agree with treasureqwest about not trying it himself-many years ago the hubbo&I thought it would be "romantic" to have me shave him {ahh,newlyweds} It did NOT have the intended effect but at least no stitches were needed! It is harder than one may think!! Really great pieces!
