The listing, canteen has ended.

Both front and back made of light brown suade with a red cord running around it to hang it. The top is made of some type of hard plastic. On the front it says 1 made in spain, as you can see in one of the pictures. I did fill it with water to make sure it had no holes and its fine. I am not sure where I got it but have had it for a very long time. I just moved and getting rid of lots of things! Happy bidding!

I'll be sure to tell my son about this!! His canteen for Boy Scouts, strap & cap just broke. He needs a new one! One that was made "like they used to"....LOL Thanx =)

Actually called a 'bota bag' not a canteen. A plastic version of a goatskin wine bag. Keep the outer canvas wet and the water inside stays cool. Pretty neat because it doesn't stick out and get in the way like a 'sports bottle'.

I use to have one of these a long time ago. I think it can be filled with about a liter of fluid.
