measured all the way around is 5"

so the curling iron i measured all the way around the barrel and it was 5". the flat iron is 1" and i'm going to add another 4" hot tool flat iron in update section as soon as i take a pic to upload. so this will be 2 flat irons, 1 curling iron, 1 blow dryer & a bonus nexus conditioner. minus the nexus, all are working great hot tool products.
