Have you grown a tree with seeds, is it easy to get a tree growing this way? I would love to have a couple cherry trees in my yard, but do not know about planting from seeds. I am curious about how it works.

I recently found out Cherry seeds need to be stored in moist soil or peatmoss in a baggie with a few holes in it, in the fridge for a few months before planting. You can do a search for growing cherry trees from seed. You will find all sorts of ideas.

They need to be cold stratified in the fridge on moist paper towel in a zippy bag or plastic container. It took mine about 5 months to germinate

Many seeds need to be cold stratified to germinate ie: apples, plum, peach, nectarine.
