Thanks! And tracking varies I think from 70~90 cents depending on the post office. Most likely this will cost you 2.97 with tracking or very close to that. But tracking protects you as a seller, especially important if you sell something and get lot of credits for it.
Thanks. I haven't shipped anything yet so I am not sure about the prices.. This is kind of a heavy item , you think it will only be 2.97 w/ the reacking info? Thanks agaain {:
Depends on how many ounces and how far, I think a regular DVD would be only 3 for first class mail with tracking, like if you send it in a bubble mailer. But if it is heavier or going very far it might be a little more. Do you know how many ounces it weighs? If you check usps.com it will walk you through shipping costs if you know the weight and package size. And make SURE you tell the post office clerk to zero the scale cause im positive I overpaid on steady two packages! At first thought my scale was wrong, but checked at another post office and figured out my scale was very accurate.
Also I think you get a discount if you but the postage online... I just ordered shipping labels and am going to start that too. My printer was broken when I joined Listia, so I've been paying at the post office. Now I just bought a new printer so I can try printing them out and seeing if that helps
I sent items that were about a pound but way bigger than a DVD for about 6. Also if it is really heavy you could put it in a flat rate envelope and it will cost 5 something but will include free tracking. They will give you the flat rate envelope, if you use it, for free at the post office
And welcome to Listia! If you want some tips on getting free credits here, check my auctions comments , I post how to do the FREE surveys for instant credits, to help other locations out
