Description

The listing, Heirloom Tomato ✽ HAWAIIAN CURRANT ✽ 15 Seeds ✽ Organic has ended.

These are one of my favorite little tomatoes. Hawaiian Currant has surprisingly sweet tomato flavor for a currant tomato. Pea-sized fruit are great for children's gardens! You'll get LOTS of tomatoes from this one. Nice tight clusters that hold fruit until all are ripe. Resists cracks in late summer. Plant away from other varieties of tomatoes if saving seeds. I have a whole garden bed where these come up on their own. I love potting them up to give away to friends, especially when they have cute mini tomatoes sprouting already as you can see in the last picture.

This Auction: You will be receiving 15 seeds from my garden. They will be sent First Class mail. I only take Paypal for International bidders, I do combine any additional auction seeds (within 5 days) for no additional shipping charge. I am happy to say that my seeds tested 99-100% germination within 2 weeks at a temp of 70°F in the spring of 2012. Excellent for beginners!

Propagation Method: From seed, sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before last spring frost. Sow 2-3 seeds per pot and thin to one plant per container. After four weeks, transplant seedlings to larger pots, and about 10 days before the last spring frost, begin hardening the plants to the outdoors. Transplant your plants to a sunny, highly composted location when soil temperatures are at least 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Stake or cage the plants for support and to prevent sprawling on the ground.
