yes, most people tie to trees over water, or attach to milk jugs and allow to float, one guy I know puts out about 50 of these and then sits down and has a beer lol

yes we use limb lines off limbs about a foot high off the water here in Tn. In a last resort situation this would be a good item to have in my pack. 10 foot 60 lb is more than enough for the cats around here.
