Still in original box, this vintage set is in quite un-used condition, and though the box has seen it's better days, the necklace and earrings are all just as they were the day they were purchased. You will rarely find a set in this condition, and this well made. The pieces are quite sturdy...simply designed, but quite lovely. I can find no maker's mark, or any type of identification of materials, but on the flip side, there is also no wear on any of the three items. The spring clasp doesn't even appear to have been used to unfasten the chain...which is shiny and pristine. The stones, while they are undoubtedly not genuine gemstone minerals, they are in excellent condition~I have been unable to see any scratches or wear on any of them. The color is a deep purplish red ~ not a ruby shade, perhaps a garnet color, but I am not positive at all..it is a wine shade that is unusual for any piece of jewelry that I have seen. The earrings have screw back settings, again, which are in like new condition. The only faults I can find in the set are within the box; that being small tears (apparent in the pictures,) a missing fastener to hold the pendant in place, (though the chain is obviously still in place as if never removed,) and discoloration of the box which is an ordinary indication of age. I would "guess" that the set would be from circa 1950's ~ 60's, which I base on the packaging and style of the pieces themselves.
I am asking assistance with the shipping fee on this item in the amount of $2.00 in order that I can be sure to package it very securely (I would hate to damage the box) the postage itself and the tracking information. Any insurance is totally the responsibility of the winner, and must be requested upon the end of the auction.
