Description

This is a miniature Indian style war shield I made years ago one of a kind.
The image is drawn on a piece of stretched raw hide with a piece of felt wrapped around edge, a lot of people hang these around their car mirror

Wow lot of questions but I will try to answer them the best I can.

Within my family we were always told that we had Indian blood in us - to look at me you would not think so - I guess you would just say I am a normal citizen being as I do not live on a reservation. My birth certificate says I am a Native American - my Military Records says I am a Canadian/American Indian. No I do not have a title or rank or anything like that - I am just a proud Indian. Years ago when my wife and I was doing Pow Wow's we did crafts and sold them I am now trying to give some away that we have had all these years.
I was instrumental in helping to starting the Native American Heritage Office here in Kentucky was also a part of the group that passed Laws helping to preserve Indian Burial sites and writing Laws to prosecute those found disturbing or digging up those graves

That is about all I can tell you - if there are other questions please feel free to ask.

Well somewhere I got things out of order - sorry
Everything my wife and I made were as close to being real as we could make it. We did not use plastic or anything like that. That shield is made or real Raw Hide that I stretched and formed the red cloth around it which represented blood is made of felt it was the nearset thing we had to trade wool . The lightening bolt down the Bear represented Medicane Power. Did I answer you correctly
