The listing, ### Old Fashion Key Pendent ### has ended.

My Great Grand father made this key years ago out of a Rail Road Spike. Actually there is a really beautiful and intresting story about this key but, I am sure no one want to hear it but, if you do just ask and I will be more then glad to share it. My grad father turn the rail road spike into two keys and a bounch of rings. I found this along with the other items a few mouths back while cleaning out my grad parent addic . When I found them the tow keys came with a note and the whole set came with a diary. Any ways The keys are well very special part of history hints the story if you would like to hear it. Any way the note said that the keys are not to be keep together. One was to be keep and the other was to be given away to a random person so that the store may live on and that the keys would travel in all parts of the world until one day some where down the road the would be reunited once again (that has to do with the story as well) Any ways so I have decided to list this key as a pendent in hopes to keep his wish. The ring is very old and has a few scraches from not only with it was crafted but, from being moved about through the years. Buying this key will not only come with a great store but, some history.

Key would be great as a key chain, neckless pendent or even on a bracelet.

Ok Years ago my great gradfather. He meet at beautiful young woman (yes the is a boy meets girl story. He was Souix and she was commanche. (which at the time was not comman for the two to meet. He had been taken from his tribe when he was young to attened "A White Mans School". Upon finishing school he walk into town to search for a job and a place to stay.
While he was walking around town he heard the most beautiful music coming from the local saloon (yes if you haven't guest this was a long time ago.) He walked in an on stage was what he though was the most beautiful women ever. She was playing a beautiful flute.

Later that night he waited put side for her to come out. At first she bearly said a word then after a few minutes of talking she caming out of her shell. e found out that the flute was all she had left of her family it had been given to her by her dad befor she was taken away to go to school. He family was killed not to long after she left.

They had been together for several mouth. While he was was working as a bag boy at the local train station he found a train stack that had come out of it place on the track. He picked it up an decide to take it home to make it into something for her. (he learn how to be an iron smith while in school)

After days of being melted back down he pour the hot liqued into several molds he had made. There were molds for Two keys, Two rings , two hinges and two locks. ( See a pattern.) After everything was harded he took the ring he had mad for her and place a piece of turquoise on the ring. (This stone was thought to bring good luck to the user and to keep away evil spirits.)

He turn and built a chest out and used the locks and hinges he had made. He took some leather lace it on to both keys. One for her one for him. He took the ring and presented it to her. (Yes he asked her to marry him).

In side the chest they placed a dream catch his mother had made, the deed to some land he had purchaced, the marrage licene, her flute, and some turquoise. Together they lock the chest. (See both locks where different.) Only when they were together would they be able to open the box.

A year later while he was working at the train station. (Which now he was a ticket clerk). Some men rode into town his beautiful wife was home alone ith there son. While she was cooking the men came in an started to ransake the place. She Ran to the back room but, she was grabed and thrown to the ground. When one of them headed towords the baby she ran past the and grabed the baby and ran out yelling. On of the men shot her in the back as people in the streets ran the shariff fire off several shots at the men. They bolted out of the house. As they did when scopped up the young babys. When the shariff got to the young women she laid motionless. The men had gotten away. After My great grandfather was informed of what happen he fell to the groud and cried.

For five days after his wives murder he sat near her grave cring and sing in his native language. Fpr five days straight it rained. On the Sixth day the sun burst through the clouds/ As he looked up there was a tripe rainbow (yes three rainbows!) He took this as a sign from his wive's spirit. He know that some how some where his son was still alive and safe.

Years past he spent tring to locate his son. (by now alot had grown around him) He had long since moved around more then he care to count. The one thing that went with him was the chest and the key around his neck. One day while at work a young ma of about 20 years of age came into the store he was working at around the young mans neck was the key that he though he had lost man years along with his son and wife. The two men meet eyes. Right away he know that this young man was non other then his son was taken from him years ago.

After words they both unlocked the chest. Inside it looks as it did when he first built it everythig was perfectly perserved. He didn't know why by he figure that his wife's spirit was looking over it.

When my great grandfrather past he left everything to his son (yes that would make him my grandfather.) My grandfather placed everything in the chest along with both keys, my great grandfathers diary and a note to explain the story of the key and what he wanted to be down with them. There in the chest everything has been for more then 70 years. Until recently it has neever been opened.
