Difference Between Natural Diamonds and Lab Grown Diamonds
To the naked eye, most people even jewelers) find it impossible to tell the difference between a natural diamond and lab-grown diamonds, or to even distinguish one color grade from another. As far as price goes, the difference can be significant. In recent years, it became possible to create beautiful diamonds in a laboratory that match the desired qualities of mined diamonds. These are being made exclusively for diamond engagement rings or other diamond-like jewelry. For many people, just the thought of purchasing mined diamonds brings up images of slave laborers and children being disfigured. With these new lab-grown diamonds, you now have the option of buying an engagement ring that is ethical and environmentally-friendly.. A lab grown diamond is one that is created in a laboratory, and will have perfect quality. They are colorless and flawless - the very properties that are desired in a perfect diamond.

Rhodium is fabulous as a plating for jewelry because it is glitteringly, dazzlingly, white and mirror-like, and the most reflective of all metals.
Rhodium plating makes diamonds look bigger and better because it's so bright that it glints like the diamonds. From a couple of feet away and under most lighting conditions it's hard to see where the stones end and the metal begins. Nothing sets off diamonds like rhodium plating does. So most white gold jewelry today is rhodium plated.

More- wouldn't fit:) (About Rhodium price volatility: Sometimes rhodium is available at almost the same price as gold, sometimes it's 25x as expensive. The extreme price volatility is because rhodium is never mined for itself; it's a very minor by-product from platinum mining. When platinum is in high demand and a lot is being mined, a lot of rhodium is available; but when platinum mining is down, rhodium becomes fabulously costly, over $12,000 ounce at one point in 2011). To be honest, all the jewelry I sell on here, I"ve made, and these delicate bands have no room for error in order to stamp. It would be stamped RH, i can attempt it, but risk destroying the ring.....
