Description

The listing, LIVE PLANT Rose Bush Pink Queen Elizabeth has ended.

This auction is for a small (will grow LARGE), live, rooted pink rose bush. This is a live flower bush, NOT seeds.

All photos are pictures taken by me. The first 3 photos are the actual bush you will receive.

The blossom photos are photos from the mother rose bush that I cloned this rose bush from.

My mother and I planted this rose when I was a child. This plant holds a lot of sentiment for me, and I hope you think it is as beautiful as I do!

Medium pink Grandiflora.

Moderate fragrance. 38 to 40 petals.

Average flower diameter 4". Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary or in small clusters. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Tall, bushy, few thorns. Large, glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.
Height of 5' to 10'. Width of 30" to 3'.

USDA zone 5b through 9b. Can be used for cut flower, garden or hedge. Very vigorous.

Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

Queen Elizabeth II was born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary on 21 April 1926. This rose marked her ascension to the throne in 1952.

Because this is a live plant, I will do my best to package it very well, and protect it during shipping, however I will not be responsible if anything happens to it during shipping, or if it dies under the new owner's care. Insurance the USPS offers won't cover live plants. Rooting a rose takes months of work and patience on my part, and I just can't afford to replace or refund if the rose is damaged through no fault of my own.

If you'd like it shipped priority mail or if you'd like to have any other specialty mail services added, I will do that for you, but you will have to pay for shipping. I believe I could ship it priority for $6.

You can see more photos of this type of rose here: http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=2.5044&tab=36

Because of strictly enforced state laws prohibiting importation of plant materials, I cannot mail to California or Hawaii.

I hope you enjoy my auction!

just some advise, when i bought rose bushes from amazon they came in the small pots and they took masking tape and put it over the pots so the dirt wouldn't spill out like covering an open dish, you might try that if you like, i'm sure you have shipped these before but wanted to let you know in case you want to try it with the pot. :) great auction.

Thanks for the advice. Leaving the dirt on the rose worries me because it is so heavy. If the rose shifts much in transit, the weight of the soil could snap the stem. I do leave some soil on the rose, and I soak it in "Super Thrive" before I ship so it has the best chances. I've shipped 4 so far and the recipients have all reported that their roses have arrived in good condition. I've had to separate 2 growing in the same pot before, I washed off all of the dirt so I could separate the roots. Those roses did great.
