It is definitely a fake. I'm sorry that you got ripped off, I wouldn't even bother contacting the seller- they will just swear up and down that it is authentic like most of the people on here do.

Please feel free to send me a message and I can tell you some things to look for in order to spot fake Betsey Johnson. I am not claiming to be an "expert", but I own a great deal of Betsey Johnson items- mostly jewelry, but some shoes and a few bags as well. I know that it is all authentic because it was all purchased from Macy's or TJMaxx. I also have a friend who interned with Betsey Johnson who told me things to look for if I were to ever purchase any Betsey Johnson online.

The best advice I can give you is to not get it off of eBay and especially not Listia. Instead, go to TJMaxx or Macy's. TJMaxx already has the stuff reduced since its from past seasons, and if you see any of it on clearance your getting the best deal possible (I got a pair of her shoes for $5 once, the original price tag had them at $125). Macy's also has Betsey Johnson items on clearance from time to time, and if you pair that with some of the coupons they offer, you're getting a great deal (I got a ring of hers one time for $3.75, that was originally $35). I almost always buy her jewelry when it's on clearance at either places, even if its something I don't care for or already own because I know that if I try to sell it and include a picture of the receipt as well as the back of the tag ill get at least triple if not more then what I paid for it.

Honesty totally appreciated here too...it's the only way Listia will stay alive...
We all have to be honest in descriptions, shipping charges, receiving and sending dates, and everything else in order for a website like this to continue.......nobody likes to be lied to......period........
