The listing, 1960 MS66 GRADED & ERROR Slabbed Jefferson Nickel has ended.
Here is a 1960 Slabbed and Graded MS-66 Jefferson Nickel. The coin itself still retains some of it's original mint luster and is in great shape! This is a great addition to any Jefferson collection, or as a perfect introduction into the slabbed and graded genre!
Where's the error.. ??
Well.. The coin itself is a Philadelphia minted.. without a mint mark on the reverse, in the field between the rim and Monticello, where it is found on nickels from 1938-1964. It wasn't until 1965 the mint mark was moved to obverse side, under the date! The original grading company enclosed this coin in a sealed, un-tampered with slab, but labeled it as a Denver Mint.
This is a cool, one of a kind addition to any collection. Although the grading company is not one of the Big 3 (maybe 4) this is still a very unique piece. If you like error coins, this is a great step into a whole new realm! If you don't have any error pieces, what a great sample to begin with..! This is a great conversation within any growing collection!
