Description

The listing, Naughty Hot Peter Peppers! Heirloom Seeds has ended.

Using stock photos since I recently moved and have to start my gardens from scratch. For some reason I never took pictures of these.
Peter Peppers are good for a laugh if nothing else. Some say they are 10x hotter than jalapenos, and then others say they are a medium-hot like Tabascos. I am sure it is a matter of how hot you think is hot.
There are many websites devoted to these little phallic peppers. Many people grow them as ornamentals. Same starting and care as any other pepper.
I have a very limited supply of these right now so auctions will be for 5 seeds.
Bids get above 2000 and I will throw in some heirloom black tomato seeds.

Thank you. You should see it when you have a couple plants worth at once! Each plant can produce up to 100 peppers.

Wouldn't it fun to just start planting these in all your neighbors flower beds. lol Can you picture them out their on their hands and knees staring at these plants once they started fruiting? Could liven up any dull community. lol

These peppers are sooo delish!!! I had used up my last jar and the person that I got my seeds from no longer have any more seeds Just thought they would be lost in the wind. Going to watch this & hope for the best on this auction. Love them with beans!

For many years you could only get them from someone who grew them... think there are a few small suppliers now.

they say its no hotter than a Jalapeño.

Just like most hot peppers, the heat is dependent on many factors. It is a hot little bugger, but if given a drought period right before the peppers ripen and then flood them the day before picking... they will be even hotter.

I would say 95% of this variety look very phallic. But then over the years I have only saved seeds from the best looking peppers, so that may be the difference.

They are a conversation starter. lol I like to put them out around the salsa and dips at a party. You see people stop, lean in, and then either blush or fall into fits of laughter.

also known as the italian love pepper. i am growing these for my italian hubby along with all the other italian veggies. they are very good. not peppers look like that when grown.my youngest refuses to eat them cuz of the way they look. so i slice his before adding to his food. very interesting conversation piece at part.....watching for sure to be interesting

Never heard them called that. Have seen them labeled as Chilly Willy Peppers though. Would think they would be too hot for a child straight on. The oil from these peppers will burn you skin if you handle them too much. The ones I have grown are about the same or a little hotter than the jalapenos grown in the same garden.

The little old ladies would secretly love them. lol It is funny to watch people bend down to see what the red fruit is and then do a double take when their brain registers what it looks like. lol

Did you do an auction for the zebra tomato seeds?
Apr 14th, 2013 at 9:02:42 AM PDT by

No, they are extra seeds I got from an auction on here. Now that my seedlings are well started, I figured I could let some seeds go.

the map says your from the Virgin Islands,, how long do you think it will take before it arrives in the mail to Louisiana USA?
Apr 10th, 2013 at 4:13:15 PM PDT by

Many of the seeds I sent out so far have arrived in 2-3 days. Far west and Upper mid-west seem to take the longest. Stuff has to fly out of here, so it gets moving pretty quickly.
