That's what I pulled it from, a super slim ps3. So yes, but you have to back up the ps3 and update to latest firmware, then format after switching hard drives.
Yes it will, but In case you didn't know this, you have to completely take apart the 1540 including pulling the motherboard, because the hard drive is located underneath the motherboard and there is no access panel to it.
It's kinda rigorous task but doable, but be very careful of the keyboard clip it very flimsy :)
Yes don't worry about me I will be able to do that task I have a dell inspiron 1545 and I'm thinking of taking it's hard drive out to test it since the OS isn't loading on the n5040. I checked the BIOS and everything was good the OS wouldn't just load.
