The listing, Wrought Iron Windchime has ended.
I don't speak or read Japanese or Chinese. I have no idea what this says or means. I thought it was pretty. It is wrought iron. It is really cute and is about 6 inches tall. Thanks for looking!
Questions & Comments
Check on the bottom and see where it's made, a lot of the huge items sold in the US (Like mass marketed coins, shirts and things) all use a fake form of Japanese writing. So if you check the bottom and see if it has a manufacturing place for me it would be awesome.
Unfortunately, it doesn't say. I think it had a sticker at one time but it isn't there any more. I've had it for a long time and can't remember. I'm sorry. If it helps, I think I purchased it around 1998.
^ it probably is made in China.. but that wouldn't stop me. "fake form of Japanese writing?" They both share the same alphabet so don't know how that works... =D
Yeah, it doesn't say where it was made. I'm sure it had a sticker on the bottom at one time but I've had it for a while and it isn't there anymore. Thanks for looking!
it would appear you have the windchime backwards, and the "symbol" is Japanese Kanji, pronounced "ei" (or "eien" with the additional kanji character added for the full meaning),for "ETERNITY" ~ this would be perfect in my little kitty's garden.. he passed away this February ... I think I will bid on this ^_^v
Haha. My backward positioning would prove that I have no idea what it means. Thanks for explaining it to me. And I'm sorry to hear about your kitty. I hope you win. :)
