The listing, Comfry has ended.
Comfry is used by many Amish in herbal salves. Comfry is good for skin rashes, stings, insect bites. I have personally seen it used to heal shingles, but cannot make any medical statements concerning it's use for any medical condition. A root piece will be mailed in a padded envelope. Just plant in a mostly sunny spot. It has big leathery leaves and beautiful purple flowers. It can be mowed down and it will regrow. If you harvest or mow down at least once a year it can regrow and re-bloom 2-3 times a year. I cut mine as I need it. My dad had a wasp fly up his nose and sting him. He squeezed a leaf and rolled it around to get it juicy and stuffed up his nose. His nose never got sore and did not swell. My Uncle is very allergic to poison ivy and made a 3 1/2 hour one way trip to come get a start of it because what he took home with him worked like magic. Great plant and beautiful also. It is not recommend by many web sights to use if you are pregnant. Do a search on the internet for the many uses of this wonderful plant.
