Venom Cake is my personal line under re-development...

You may choose your own colours and I'll custom make them.

I've been a cosmetologist/makeup artist for 20+ years. During this time, I have been frustrated with the industries eye shadows based on keeping things sterile. We have to scrape potted shadow onto a palette which is what I do with UD but these go quickly. MAC pigments are wonderful for client to client sanitation.... but they just don't have the adhesion of Urban Decay. I set out to combine the two successfully.

This product has been launched before and now with proper backing, seeking proper packaging (which is in the works so expect silly homemade packaging *or* my old packaging) and proper product development and entire line is in the works with shadows as the focal point and make-up artists as the target audience.... and of course, YOU!

Everything is sterile and made with the highest quality ingredients.

04/26/2013 : I made the President's list again YAY..sooo I'm in a good mood....so if you use GIN you get a Juicy Couture MakeUp bag crammed full.

Hi there, I went to your profile to see the bigger picture... yes, she is about at light as I am! :) She has warm undertones to her skin so what would be good are colours like warm browns, tans, peaches, corals, golds.... especially for her age. A little bolder but still in her colouring are greens, the entire realm of them. Eye makeup does not follow along the same rules as other makeup and usually people wear just any colours..... but when it is a young girl, I'd stick with colours that enchance with her skin tone rather than pop against it.... meaning no purples or pinks.... those would pop and be too loud, so would blue. Much of the time it is all about eye colour.... but like I said, I'm working with her age. I'd definitely go with not too dark brown, tan, peaces, cream, gold, coral... and for it to be fun for her let her have those subtle colours in shimmery bases. Shimmer is youthful and fresh and imho work on everyone to really open the eye. I hope that helps. :)

There is absolutely no way. If I lose out and someone wins the auction for 2500 then that is my mistake and one I will never make again. However, considering those little pots go for 8.00 a piece on Etsy and Copious.... and then asking me to take 6 of them down to 3.00 and making them 50 cents per eyeshadow is.... well, insulting. LOL I hope you understand.

I do my auctions by request of colours, actually. You get the auction and then request the colours, I make them within 2 days.

Great auction! I really respect your note at the bottom as well warning people about some of the DIY makeup items out there. What infuriates me about most of the DIY auctions here on Listia is all you have to do is google the name of the auction or the product you are looking to bid on and they come up on the actual websites they are from. Most people that list DIY auctions had nothing to do with creating the tutorial or recipe. I wish people would wise up and not bid on those auctions and just go to google and find them there if that is what they want. Oh...same goes for recipes. Sorry, getting off my bandwagon now. I'd love to try some of your eyeshadows as well when my credits build up hopefully you will still be listing them.

I'm going to send you some. I know what all you are going through and think you need a bit of a care package. I just need to have some time to make the right colours for you. The DIY's infuriate me not because they exsist but because they have no warnings. I believe in complete free speech and free information but I also believe that when potential harm may come to you physically by making and using a product you need to state such. Many of these DIY makeup auctions are B.S. and dangerous and the original makers will warn you of the potential outcomes and allergies. This is what angers me. I am controversial but I am not irresponsible.

I am in the process of the new line with the new formulation so while I am in this stage, you can literally think of anything your little heart desires, even that shade by MAC you wanted....or that shade by UD you're almost out of but they discontinued. I can mix anything and I've never had a complaint with my matches.... or you can simply describe colours to me. Never had a disappointment there, either. :) I have a seminar, I will check back. I do have a store that I close for reformulation I could reopen to show you colours. Seminar will be over 9:45 ish central....it includes a conference with my professor.

I have a store... and there are stores in Nashville. You can also buy just directly from me. I've an Etsy store also but it's down because I'm redoing all my colours. I had an insane amount and I'd rather teach people how easily they can mix their own on a palette with some shadows made of main colours.... it saves money for people.
