Under the date is a stamp but I can't read it. The hinge/latch is in perfect working condition (not loose).

It isn't stamped, but all the others i've seen are 10k. I am just going to say that it is gold tone, simply because I really don't know. I haven't had the time to go have it tested. Sorry that I can't be more specific!

Some say that theirs was stamped and others didn't indicate that it was or not. I am referring to auctions that are listed on Ebay.
