This came out of a house I liquidated for the family. I do know he spent a lot of time over seas. All his belongings told a story that he was in stationed in about 4 different countries.

Yes , I understand that sometimes, it takes that long to be served a medal. If it had gotten mixed up in the shuffle, or if more paper work was needed. My stepfather had gotten a purple heart many years after.
