Only 6.75 inches tall, there is no fear of falling using it to change light bulbs, reaching for something in the pantry, or even cleaning the top of the refrigerator. It has 4 legs which makes it real sturdy and solid. Made out of wood, not plastic like most today. It is 12 inches across making it "officially" a Foot stool. With the cushion, it's about 11 inches high, just right to prop your feet on or use in a child's room for sitting. And you can always change pillow colors and textures for any decor. It's a great little foot stool.
