I haven't seen a two dollar bill in a long time! I hardly remember those. I remember when I was a kid, and we had both 1 and 2 dollar bills. Then we got rid of the 1 dollar bills, and we got the 1 dollar coin, instead - it had a Loon on it, so everyone started called it a "Loonie". Then we got rid of the paper 2 dollar bills, and came out with a coin, and, because of the "Loonie", we called it a "Toonie". We're funny. :-) Now we're getting rid of the penny, too.
Yes, I was sad to hear it too. They are still in circulation right now, but we no longer make any. If you are paying by debit/credit card, you pay to the penny. But if you pay in cash, they now round it up or down, in preperation for when all the pennies eventually go out of circulation. I should save some, while they're still in use.
