Description

The listing, DIY Greek Yogurt w/a slow cooker has ended.

Ok, yeah, you can google this--that's how I got started. HOWEVER, I can tell you it takes a while to sort through and find one specifically for a slow cooker. I wound up narrowing it down to 5, combining parts, throwing out parts, & making up some of my own with several trial & error batches. The result is not just a recipe, but a 4-1/2 page explanation of what to do, how, and WHY, in plain language that leaves you understanding the whole process, not just getting a list of this & that. I explain how to make your own yogurt with suggestions for variations to suit your taste, then explain how to make your homemade yogurt "greek", as well as explaining how to make any store-bought yogurt "greek". This is far more than a recipe, and I want to share it - so the bid is just 5 points.

Super rich, super thick, creamy, preservative free, sweetened only with honey, no sugar (or left plain for recipes)...all in a few easy steps with just a few minutes of effort. These pictures are not photo-shopped, stock, nor altered in any way...they were taken by me, in my kitchen, moments before I posted this-and eaten moments later!!

Making your own lets you control the ingredients, you control the sweetness, you control the fat content, you know EXACTLY what is in it, and it tastes amazing! I'll even tell you how to make it taste exactly like cheesecake...I used this to make chocolate-dipped cheesecake on a stick, and NO ONE guessed that the "cheesecake" was 100% yogurt!

If you have a slow cooker, you can make your own greek yogurt - amazingly delicious. Actual time you will spend making it is about 10 minutes, then let the slow cooker do the work. Next morning, you have delicious, fresh yogurt. A couple more minutes of your time, and you have greek yogurt thick enough to defy gravity like the pictures above!

If the bid reaches 10, I'll include instructions on the chocolate-dipped "cheesecake" (the "cheesecake" is 100% yogurt!) on a stick.
