The listing, WoW !!! Nice looking *1843* GB Farthing has ended.

1843 Great Britain Farthing
This is a nice looking coin from a hoard of stamps, coins, currency and documents I came up on last fall.
This coin really is in great shape. Not a common find on listia.
Take a good look at the images and grade it for your self.

I'm just scratching the surface of this hoard so check my listings often, you never know what you'll find.

Check my feedback and bid with confidence.
US Bidders Only Please, I will not ship out of the US.
Thanks for looking.

Tony, this is not a farthing, it is a penny! I looked it up: http://www.rarecoinsandtokens.co.uk/queen-victoria-1858-penny-no-ww-p-443.html ... the 1858 is just a newer version, but the obverse and reverse are identical. Just an FYI.

I believe this coin is a Farthing... The coin I have listed weighs 4.5 grams on my digital scale. The coin on your link weighs 18.8 grams. thanks for your input and the bid though. I love to meet folks with as much interest in coins as myself, good luck.

Just to clear up any confusion on this coin, the Penny coin from this era is a much larger coin than this Farthing is. This coin is about the size of a US 5 cent piece and only weighs 4.5 grams on my scale.

I have the Standard Catalog of World Coins and they have illustrations of every coin in it's actual size which is real nice when it comes to coins like this. You can literaly place your coin on the picture in the book if you don't feel like measuring it. Anyway, thanks againg for the comment and the bid.

Tony, I have the 14th Edition of Collecting World Coins, but it only covers the very late 1800's to the present, and I do have several other smaller, less comprehensive books. I've been going on the Internet when I can't find something, so I think I will order the book you have from Amazon. Thanks for the resource referral! Clint

I always buy used on amazon or ebay when I need a big book. the smaller books I buy outdated a year or two in bulk and pay like a buck a piece then sell the extras ;) those books can get pricey. I have the standard catalogs for coins and currency if you ever need to id something.
