I just love this ring, but, I want to earn credits for gifts for my family. It is a big ring over 5/8 of an inch tall. It is a size 6.5. The sapphire is huge (over half of an inch long) and faceted both on the surface and underneath. I purchased the ring hand crafted by an artisan from Utah. The sapphire is real and appears to be a rough-cut gemstone with a polished surface. You will see all the irregularites that a rough-cut stone has if you look at it with a loop like: tiny pits, grooves, color variations, a few of the facets are not polished very well. But, no damages, no chips, no cracks, and no scratches. Sapphire is much to hard to ever scratch. The ring was hand crafted by an artisan with silver. It was sold to me as sterling silver, but, I cannot guarantee the percentage of silver possibly not quite as high as .925. I seem to have to clean it slightly more, but, not much more than my sterling .925 silver rings. It has the wonderful look of wire wrapped stone art, but, it is not. It is a high quality ring with extremely hard proffesional silver art that cannot ever bend or be bent even if you wanted it to. Not marked anywhere. I know you will love it as much as I have!
