Nooooo...this is not authentic. Louis Vuitton would never ever run piping or stitching over the LV monogram. Also, the part that is torn should be leather and that is not leather. It is also the wrong color...too light. The stitching is crooked and loopy...this is a big Louis Vuitton no-no. I am not sure who verified the authenticity for you but most fakes now a days have a date code in them. But even the date code on this bag is not leather. Finally the lining is completely wrong. You should take it to someone else because who ever "verified" it was way off.

it was confirmed by a retailer that sells them and also on loui vuilton's web site where we went and typed in the numbers and it pulled the bag up so sorry i go by what the people at the store say and the web site says

The reason people want to know the authenticity is to know how many credits to bid. Obviously, an authentic LV will get a much higher credit bid than a replica. A true LV is an investment piece that will last for decades because of superior quality...it can become a family heirloom. A designer is item is a treat and, while I don't mind replicas, it is not fair to misrepresent any product. I appreciate that you changed the title and am still watching. :) I get replicas for my kids to keep them off mine. I have found that it works well until about 14 or 15.
FYI: You should report the person who told you that this was authentic. I do authentications and this is obvious...you should have been told the truth.

i would like to thank all the people that have commented here with out being negative im going by what was told to me by the person at the store that sells these bags new and also was refered to the web site where we typed in the numbers so thank you and i hope someone likes the bag and bids on it

Almost forgot, the tag that the so called date code is on is wrong. Louis Vuitton does not have tags like that. For this particular bag it should be something of a triangular shape and have a small brass ring attached to it.
