Not so much that it is overpowering, but yes, the smell is definitely still there.

I need it smelling pretty strong...the lavender keeps the moth out of your wool.

I don't think it is strong enough that you can smell it right away if hung in a closet.
I was given this by a friend and for the short time that I kept it in my car the smell was mainly noticeable when the car would heat up, etc.

Lavender is soothing, I use lavender lotion nd powder on my lil one to help her sleep and for christmas she is getting a lavender teddy delivered from Ireland, you put in the microwave and then on the bed. With that and this she should sleep very well lol
