hoop are use to hold quilt layers togeather keeping them smooth and taut for hand guilting layer should be basted together before put in a hoop or frame .hoops are smaller then a frame and take up less room. hand quilting is where all sewing is done be hand.

Nice item! The guilt hoop is a tool that we all find ourselves using when we KNOW we should be doing other things instead of sitting on our fannies quilting! Don't lie-you all know you do it too! Ha-ha
