Here are 72 new celebration bells from Wilton. They are 3 boxes of 24 each. Technically, there are 71 untouched bells and 1 bell that I took out and attached the tag for the purpose of taking the photographs, but still 72 bells. And there are extra tags and silver cords. The back side of the little poem tags are blank, so you could add a personal message or thank you if so desired. The poem reads (in english)
"Let wedding bells sound a chorus
They ask the bride and groom before us
To share a kiss of harmony
And bring true joy to all who see. "
(It also is in french...I presume it says pretty much the same words.)
Each bell is 1 3/8" tall and 1 3/8" wide at the opening.
These are so cute. The tradition is that guests at a wedding or anniversary party will ring these during the reception, and the couple will stop whatever else they are doing to kiss each other...and everyone claps in approval! So sweet.
There is no rust or aging on these. Other than the one for the photo's, they have never been outside of the boxes.
These are no longer available by Wilton, so this is actually a rather precious find. I would put the approximate value at $20 per box,
The 3 boxes weigh just shy of 36 ounces (2 lb 4 oz).
