OVAL ABALONE SHELL BROOCH/PIN, marked sterling, may be rhodium plated since there appears to be no tarnish, bright silver color. I have not had it tested. On the pin back it is marked sterling twice - once around the top and once on the side under the pin hinge. The predominant colors of this pretty shell piece appear to be yellow to green, with hints of blue and pink, depending on how the light reflects. The pin measures approx. 1&1/2 X 2 inches, the shell cabochon appears to be about 1/4 inch thick. See pics! (coins not included)
