Description
The listing, Old Fashioned Baking Powder Biscuits plus two more has ended.
This auction is for a delicious baking powder biscuit recipe. I am also going to include a recipe for applesauce biscuits and another for camp biscuits. These are tried and true family recipes that have been made by five generations that I know of. I will email the winner all three recipes.
Let me know if there is any other old fashioned recipe you are looking for. I may have it, and if I do not than perhaps my daughter, mother, or grandmother may have it, as we are a family that loves traditional simple delicious recipes.
Questions & Comments
looking for an old family recipe (6 actually) that was out of the depression. It is for chocolate bread pudding and my aunt always made it for me-but it's not like the online ones-it comes out completely flat (sort of like if you poured cocoa wheats in a pan and let them cool lol). Also looking for an oatmeal based dessert that had golden raisins in the middle with a bottom and a crumble top, an old fashioned sugar cookie that was thicker and not overly sweet-not using powdered sugar....and was substantial enough to actually bite into.....an old fashioned fruitcake that was actually started with diced dates-it had coffee in it and we made it right after thanksgiving and it sat until Christmas...did not have any alcohol in it...one was for a recipe for porcupines (meatballs with rice) cooked in V8 juice on stove top).and the last one was from either musselman or mott's applesauce-it was on an old pamphlet...it was for a crustless applesauce pie....we had a house fire and all my family recipes were destroyed and everyone is pretty well gone now....gonna keep my eye on this because for some reason I can't seem to make a good biscuit for anything lol....
At a potluck dinner someone brought fabulous pumpkin spice biscuits and served them with butter and honey. I've tried to make them by using a regular biscuit recipe and mixing spices and some canned pumpkin but they always come out flat. Good taste but no fluffy Do you by chance have a pumpkin spice biscuit recipe?
